i love the way these pictures turn something familiar (trees) and distort them into something unfamiliar. it reminds me of what babylon does, as it takes God’s good world and twists it for it’s own pleasures. God’s world is inherently good, i believe that to be a fundemental aspect of creation. it’s humanity’s intent to step outside of God’s morality that ushers in Babylon in.
